FAQ
What does a day in daycare typically look like?
Each day is a little different depending on the dogs’ age and familiarity, but the day starts out with introductions/greetings, usually followed by playtime. After that, the dogs go for toilet breaks and sniffing time, before usually taking a midday nap. Naps are followed by toilet breaks and usually more playtime/social interaction before the dogs go home for the day. Every dog gets to interact or play as much or as little as they please, and we always ensure that each dog has adequate space to play, rest and get their beauty sleep.
A variety of comfortable sleeping spaces and plenty of fresh water are available at all times.
What are your daycare opening hours?
We are open for daycare Monday-Friday between 8-6pm.
For pickups later than 15 minutes after our closing hours a €5 late fee will incur.
What does my dog need to attend daycare?
Your dog needs to be well-socialized and friendly with other dogs. This doesn’t mean that they have to want to play or interact with every dog they meet, but rather be tolerant of other dogs and have good communication skills. Your dog must also be at least 4 months old to attend daycare.
In addition to that, your dog needs their basic immunization vaccines. These will need to be presented upon request.
Lastly, we recommend that you have liability insurance for your dog.
Do you offer pickup and drop off?
For walking, pickup from and drop off to your home/work location is included in the price.
For daycare, we offer the possibility to pick up and drop off your dog for a small fee.

What is your cancellation policy?
For daycare and dog walking, cancellations less than 24 hours before the start of the service incur a 50% cancellations fee. Same day cancellations incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Our cancellations fees exist, as we only have capacity for a certain number of dogs each day, and as such we a last minute cancellation on a day we are fully booked, could mean we would have had to turn away another dog that day.
What training methods do you use?
We use force-free, science-based, positive reinforcement based training methods. We do not use methods or tools like choke collars, leash jerks, water sprays, yelling at, or physically hitting/kicking dogs.
Do you offer both individual and group training?
We offer individual 1:1 dog training and behavior consultations with the initial session lasting 60-90 minutes – follow up session are 60 minutes long. Each session includes a written training plan tailored to you and your dog’s needs, as well as support via tex/phone/email in between session at no additional cost. We offer in-person sessions throughout the Porto metropolitan area and online sessions globally.
We also offer group training. These consist of 60 minute training walks with a maximum of 4 dogs and 4 people per training session.
Lastly, we offer the option of adding additional training to an individual dog walk – we will implement training on the walks in the agreed-to areas, and lay the foundations for successful training implementation.
